HACFL provides housing assistance to low-income working families, seniors, persons with disabilities, and persons with special needs. Eligible applicants may choose where they would like to live in quality, mixed-income apartment communities and single-family home neighborhoods throughout the city of Fort Lauderdale. Residents can also access community development programs which include assistance with education, job training, youth programs, health and wellness and more.

To apply for Affordable Housing, select a unit from the vacancy list or Neighborhood Stabilization Program waiting list. Print and complete all forms in the application package. Submit the completed application package and a non-refundable application fee of $25.00 per adult (18 years and older) to our office located at 500 W Sunrise Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311. The application fee must be a money order or cashier check only made payable to the Housing Authority of the City of Fort Lauderdale (HACFL). Please note that the Affordable Housing units on the vacancy list and Neighborhood Stabilization Program waiting list are not subsidized /government assisted. No pets are allowed.
