01 Oct Public Housing Rents and Utility Allowances (effective 1/1/2024)

The Housing Authority of the City of Fort Lauderdale is proposing the attached rents and
utility allowances as a result of the 2024; 33312 FMR and the utility allowance study
performed in September 2023. These allowances are based on tenant-paid utilities (except
telephone), such as: cost of tenant-supplied refrigerators and ranges, and for other tenant-
paid housing services (e.g. trash collection (disposal of waste and refuse)) water, sewage and
electric. These requirements are based on HUD regulations found in 24 CFR 965.507 and 24
CFR 965.507(b) of the Federal Register Rules and Regulations.
